To the absolute delight of all here at Avner's Fund, the ladies of Mona Vale Golf Club's "House B" social group chose Avner's Fund to be the recipient of donations from their inaugural fund raising event held on the 26^th Oct 2010.

The weather was perfect which was very lucky considering how temperamental it has been lately and the picturesque setting overlooking the ocean, couldn't have been improved on.

Special thanks to organizers Wendie Bailey, Jenny McCormack and Niki Hosking - for going to such efforts to make it such a great day - organizing sponsors, prizes, decorating the room in purple and encouraging all the golfers to wear purple in support of pancreatic cancer.

The top raffle prize of a weeks accommodation in a luxurious apartment in Noosa was donated by fellow golfer Irene Newport. We gratefully acknowledge Irene's generosity.

LJ Hooker Avalon, Kulture In Hair Avalon, Woolworths, Dan Murphys and Strata Partners all generously supported the event through sponsoring holes and donating prizes.

Peter Hosking one of our multi-talented Fund Directors acted as emcee and did a wonderful job.

Thanks to all who participated, more than $6,000 was raised for the fight against pancreatic cancer.
